Welcome to the Encode. By accessing or using our API endpoints and services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions.
By making requests to our API (including GET and POST endpoints), you signify your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please stop using the service immediately.
The service provides automated generation of QR Codes mapping to user-submitted formats including, but not limited to: Plain Text, URLs, vCards, MeCards, WiFi configurations, Email protocols, SMS, Geo-locations, Calendar events, Bitcoin addresses, and UPI payment strings.
You agree to use the API only for lawful purposes. You are strictly prohibited from utilizing this service to:
To ensure fair availability, we implement automatic rate limiting (e.g., 100 requests per 15 minutes per IP address). Additionally, responses may be temporarily cached via Redis to optimize performance. Circumventing these limits via IP rotation or distributed script environments is a breach of these terms.
The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no guarantees that the QR code output will always accurately match legacy scanner behaviors or that the service will be entirely uninterrupted or error-free.
Under no circumstances shall the project maintainers or creators be held liable for direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the generated QR codes, including transaction errors arising from encoded UPI or Bitcoin addresses.
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Your continued use of the API endpoints following adjustments implies acceptance of the new terms.
